I have rated Codys 5 stars in the past. We eat here often . Today's visit was 3 stars . My food , chop steak with broccoli . Steak was good , broccoli was over cooked . Wife had the baked chicken special . The chicken was not good , odd rose Mary taste . Daughters fries were soggy. Server was good . Oh , we ordered the Cody's slide Sunday , Good but mostly whipped cream and the brownie was burnt ,

Pretty awful. Ended up here after seeing outback was closed at 9 on sunday night. Thought this would be a similar, good steak dinner. Wrong. I ordered a filet, medium rare. Your meal comes with yeast rolls and salad which were decent. My steak was god awful though...nothing like any filet I've had. Every bite was fatty and chewy, and it lacked any kind of flavor. It definitely wasn't cooked medium rare either. Our server made mistakes right and left. I'm a server myself, but I had a hard time understanding her performance with a total of two tables. But, I'll always leave 20% unless you're just an asshole. I didn't like that our appetizer was not comped, either. It came out when we were almost done with our steaks because it got taken to the wrong table, and we didn't even want it by that point. We took a chance on some carrot cake, which was the only delicious part of the meal. I really don't think I'll be back though, given everything else.

Showed up at 10:15 - sign says closed at 10:30 and we were turned away. Awful customer service and false advertising. Just say you close at 10 if that is the case

The food is good. We love the rolls with the cinnamon butter. However, we have been disappointed with the service the last two times. Last night, we at there for dinner. It took a while to get our rolls. Then, the waitress brought my salad at the exact same time as the entree! So, it was either eat the salad and let my Prime Rib get cold or let the salad sit and eat it after my dinner. Since I don't like cold prime rib, I ate my dinner. When I was done, I didn't want the salad anymore. Who wants to eat salad AFTER dinner? The waitress didn't even apologize. She said "I guess you don't want the salad anymore?". Also, my husband doesn't eat salad. He asked if he could have soup instead. Most restaurants will substitute salad with soup for an up-charge. The waitress said that they don't offer that option. It could be a really good restaurant, but they need to improve on their service.

Night out with the family? Looking for something home style backyard country style? You found it! This place has a large menu from juicy steak to yummy sweet rolls. Friendly service! Minus this is a big birthday place as I heard their staff singing 7 times in one hour. Give this place a try on your next fun date night or family night out with the kids.

We have been here 3 times... 2 of the times were horrible! Service was medeocer and food is horrible! My daughter had a kids pizza, it was raw dough in the middle. My steak was overcooked, and the country fried chicken was sitting in a plate of grease. Its too bad because the tarpon springs location is excellent!!

First time here to this Cody's Original Roadhouse since my family has always went to the Cody's Original Roadhouse in St. Petersburg. The staff was very nice and very professional to their customers that came in to eat. The manager came over and introduce himself to the families who were eating there making sure nothing was wrong with the orders or see if he can help with anything which is nice some of the other restaurants don't offer great customer service relations with customers. Since it was my birthday yesterday (August 12th) I ordered the Mud Slide which tasted excellent wasn't too strong or weak at all it was made just right. I ordered the New York Strip 18oz cooked well done cause I don't like bloody red, raw or pink steaks yes I know well done takes away the taste of the steak but that's how I like my steaks well done. Our server was very fast and up keeping to see if we needed our drinks refilled, orders were cooked the way we wanted it. The gentleman was fast when we needed something like to go boxes. Yes at this location we got to throw the Peanuts on the floor like the other Cody's Original Roadhouses allow customers to do. They have TV's around the restaurant for the customers to watch while waiting to be seated at a table or while eating or enjoying a very nice cold beer of some sort or a bottle of wine. This restaurant is very clean and well kept.

The food was good and the service was good. Prices seemed a little high for the type of food. No real complaints it's just that everything was just so so and ok. So so service and food equals 3 stars.

Dirty, slow, and bad tasting. The one star was for the waitress. She was nice but not good at her job.

Waitress very friendly. Food eh. Had the 1/2 chicken kind of dry. Ice tea taste like dishwater. Beer was cold!

First time going here and the service was exceptional. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a perfectly cooked steak and the bottomless salad was fresh and crisp. Great place to bring the family!

Soooooo ok. The food is great. Managers are usually really great at taking care of customers, at least the one I met was. The down side is that the kitchen is unreal slow. Took forever to get drinks and the free bread. We are salads and bread and sat forever waiting on our dinners.

I came back here one Wednesday to try their chicken and steak fajitas. Since it is the Wednesday special, it doesn't come w salad or bread. That is extra. That was fine bc I didn't need to fill up on the tasty bread. The fajitas on the other hand were not tasty. They did not have any seasoning at all. They were definitely not memorable. My two tries were enough. Last time I gave it three stars but I clearly mentioned the dry non seasoned steak. Won't be back here. If in the area, & I want steak I will go to outback or Texas roadhouse.

We visited several Cody's locations but my last experience at this Cody's location was over the top! I had great service as soon as we walked into the door. Our waitresses was extremely friendly and she made our dinner very fun. The manager also visited our table to check and make sure that everything was superior with our food and service. This location has a great design and clean look in comparison to other Cody's locations. We also enjoyed all the TVs since it was a game night Excellent service and great food for a terrific value.

Service was great, it was very busy and all of the wait staff helped each other. I ordered the grilled shrimp skewer. Unfortunately, they were out of shrimp, so I ordered the baked potato soup and the Roadhouse salad. Others at my table ordered the Roadhouse salad, as well as the sirloin and baked potato. When our food came, the soup and baked potato were luke warm. The salads were drenched in dressing. I'm guessing these are issues simply because they're still "New" having recently opened. *Maybe* we'll go back again.

OK. Service was friendly but slow. Just a few tables Sunday, but they seemed disorganized. As for the food it was certainly not up to usual Cody's standards. Think they may need a visit from corporate or a more knowledgable manager. Seems like other reviews reflect these same problems.

Just opened in Wesley Chapel in June 2014. (This used to be the location of Remington's Steak House). Never been to a Cody's Original Roadhouse but looks like they have locations throughout Florida. I highly recommend using their "call ahead seating". We called 10 minutes prior to arrival and were immediately seated when we walk in the door. There were a lot of people waiting and we went ahead of them. They offer weekly specials -- Sunday special served from opening until 4:00 pm for $8.99 includes dessert; Monday and Tuesdays Kids 10 and under Eat Free! Wednesday is buy one Fajita for $11.98 and get one free. Thursdays are Top Sirloin Steak for $12.95 and lastly 2 for 1 Happy Hour everyday until 7:00 pm. Atmosphere reminds me of Texas Roadhouse, but a lot more open and spacious. Started off with warm yeast rolls and cinnamon butter -- my daughter loves them. The Cody's Roadhouse salad is fresh, delicious and bottomless -- it comes in a huge stainless steel bowl and tossed with garlic ranch dressing --YUM! We chose the "Onions on a Stick" as our starter. Huge sweet onion rings fried to perfection with a spicy turmeric sauce for dipping. Daughter got the filet mignon wrapped in bacon -- said it was good -- not the best she has ever had but certainly not the worst. I ordered the grilled Southwest chicken --covered in BBQ sauce, jack and cheddar cheese, bacon and pico de gallo. It was ok. My husband decided on the special -- 1/2 baked chicken and 1/2 slab of baby back ribs. His choice was the best. The ribs were huge with lots of meat and fell right off the bone. Baked chicken was seasoned perfectly. Too full for dessert but maybe next time. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Thought I would try something different in Wesley Chapel, so off to Codys Wesley Chapel Steakhouse on 54 & I75. Disappointing - requested Medium/ presented Raw! Had to wait while my wife ate Quality is not up to par Texas Roadhouse/Outback near by better quality food for sure. Didn't even offer to reduce bill for a lackluster Sat Dinner

We gave it 2 tries one week apart. Will never go there again. Chef's special stuffed burger was awful. 2 beef patties with bacon bits in the middle. We ordered one entree, 2 appetizers and 2 kids meals, the one entree came out first even before the chips and salsa. Wings were super greasy dripping with oil. Chicken fried streak was burnt dry. Kids meals French fries were burnt. DO NOT GO TO CODY'S, Texas Roadhouse is 100x better.

Foods not bad if you can get served. I've given it several tries but I'm sick of begging to be served.

Service good. Beer very cold. Ribs fatty and we're not baby backs. Sauce was ok. Steak ok a bit rubbery. Salad bland and rolls were decent. Too expensive for the price. A no go back.

Was excited something finally moved in the empty Remington's spot so we finally gave Cody's a try. I had the chicken fried chicken salad and my husband had a mushroom burger. His burger was very good; my salad was terrible. Basically all I got was a GIANT pile of iceberg lettuce - lots of those thick pieces you can't really eat - the chicken, literally 4 pieces of shredded cheese, and two croutons. Two. We are talking small croutons here. I don't know if the chef got lazy or decided that he was pissed off about a salad being on the menu, but it was pitiful. I did ask for more cheese and crotons, but the damage was done. Service was so-so when we could get it, and our table was downright awful. It was this tiny two seater up against a pole. We seriously just felt like we were in everyone's way, and a busboy even knocked my purse off my chair. This is a very long-winded post to say, we won't be back.

Starving we decided to try the new Cody's in wesley chapel. Very very disappointed. Nothing was good. Cheese and bacon fries not cooked and no flavor. Ditto the salad. Its"bottomless" but I couldn't have more than a few bites....no taste. Herb crusted salmon. No good. Fajitas bland. I don't drink but this must be more of a drinking place than a place for food. The manager asked how everything was and er said not that great. The food is just plain. He didn't offer anything. Just awkward silence. Out waitress was outstanding though. I feel bad for her that she has to pretend they have great food. Unless you are looking fordrink specials there are many other options nearby.

The salad and the bread is the only thing that was good. My mother and I had the grilled salmon. NO Seasonings it was so bland. The just slapped it on the grill. The garlic mashed potatoes bland. The food taste just like Remingtons!! The need professional cooks to come in and help them. My husband had the petit filet, bland. The bread fried shrimp bland, just floured and fried the need to get line cooks who know what the are doing.

Bad steak and overcooked prime rib. I don't think they have the right kids cooking meat and I mean kids. Great server, Megan, but save your money. Go someplace where a steak is cooked the way you ask . I told Mgr my prime rib was tough and he said well it was cooked for 10 minutes so it should have been ok. I told him prime rib sign on the wall said slow cooked and I'm thinking 8 hours but he said 10 minutes. Salad was bottom of the barrel lettuce with pink coloring. We have heard that this location is somewhat newer but when kids are running a food establishment I don't know how successful it will be. We won't be back. Much better places to get a good steak and prime rib. I did mention the quality of food service to Mgr Mike and he was very unsympathetic.

First item ordered we were told was sold out. Sounds like a management issue. We ordered the grilled BBQ chicken breast dinner and the grilled shrimp dinner. Chicken was dry and the shrimp was bland. Both side dishes were steamed veggies. They were seasoned with a lemon butter sauce not noted on the menu. One bite, that's all we could stand. The yeast rolls were good as was the endless salad. Even though the table side service was good, we were disappointed overall. If you want a meal better than you can cook at home, this isn't the place.

Went to Cody's in Wesley Chapel and ordered the 12 oz prime rib. When it came out it was the thickness of a shoe soul and when i ask for the manager he came over and said if you do not like the size go to OUTBACK.
